The application submitted here for funding for an innovative teaching and
learning programme for the biology and engineering sciences in
cooperation with Ukrainian universities docks onto the InnoBioDiv
programme, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment,
Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV),
and expands it so that Ukrainian scientists and lecturers can participate
with their students and the latter can complete study credits as part of
their curricula. Cooperation with Ukrainian lecturers and students is
promoted through on-site stays at the University and Technical University
of Cologne. We will be happy to send you the InnoBioDiv application if
required. We have established an innovation platform that uses modern
research results to make it possible to people from different fields in
biological and engineering sciences and the public experience the
influence of climate parameters on the growth performance of plants and
biodiversity in the soil. The teaching and learning modules are divided into
course units that can be included in the curricula of the participating
universities. The focus is on the development of concepts for adapting
crops and ecosystems to climate change.
